SEO UK Can Improve Your Potential

by Peter Higgin on March 12, 2010

It goes without saying that you want a native English speaking writer for your SEO work. So when you go with an SEO UK or US company how do you decide who to hire?

That said, how do you GET a great writer? Well… Read on…

Rates

Ideally, you shouldn’t be paying more than a few cents a word, though for certain projects such as academics and eBooks, you might be spending just a bit more, and that’s not unreasonable. If you’re paying a penny a word, you have to understand that you’re probably sacrificing quality just to save a couple bucks. Good writers can afford to charge just a bit more because they know they’re good. Lousy writers can’t afford to charge more than a penny a word.

Read some Samples

There are foreign copy writing companies that don’t hire anyone who speaks English at all, much less someone who speaks it well. If you want to pay bottom dollar for your writing, you may as well copy and paste pages out of the dictionary and throw some keywords in there, because the finished result will be about as coherent and sell your product just as well as these spam-speak articles will. So read the samples, put them through copyscape and make sure they qualify as good web content.

Email

You’ll be doing business via email, so you’ll want to see how they conduct themselves there. Are they polite and courteous? Can they give you straight answers to all your questions? If they can barely write a legible email, chances are they can’t write SEO too good, neither. Look for well written emails if you want well written articles.

Reviews

Always look for references. Look for recommendations to see which dogs are the top of the food chain. While you’re at it, feel free to remember the places you got those recommendations so that you can give the writers a positive (or negative) review based on your experiences working with them.

Project Type

Every company really has its own specialty. Most will do SEO articles, but if you want something else done, you need to look for a company that specializes in exactly what you want done, be it eBooks, ghost writing, blogs, whatever it is, find a company that knows that side of the business better than anyone.

Rewrites

You might not be one hundred percent satisfied with the first pass. Most companies will offer one or two rewrites. A company that doesn’t offer any sort of rewrites at all is one you want to stay away from. It’s a given that the writer isn’t psychic and might not be able to know exactly what you’re going for, and it’s not uncommon that you have to bang the kinks out a bit here and there, so look for a company that takes enough pride in their work that they’ll be willing to have another go at it if you’re not completely satisfied.

The Pay

Half up front, half at the end, or, pay in thirds. These are the only real payment plans you can trust with most SEO companies. A business that wants it all up front… Well, you’re taking something of a risk if it’s a larger project.

Locate the best SEO UK options you have. With search optimisation you should be able to see the success you were hoping for in your business. Head online and learn more.

The Facts About Web Marketing And How It Can Affect The Success Of Your Business

by Peter Stabler on March 11, 2010

The way that consumers do business has changed over the last 10 years. Today, people rely almost solely on the Internet to do business. They go directly to the Web to look for national retailers, as well as local merchants. Consumers find it easy to find a business online. It is as easy as typing two or three words into a search box, and off they go. With so many consumers using the Internet today, it critical for every business to include web marketing in their marketing mix.

Consumers are rarely using the printed business directories to find businesses. In this digital age, bulky business directories that display limited information are taking a back seat. Today consumers prefer to get business information online, where they can get all the information they need in order to make their buying decisions. Consumers find it doing business online fast and easy.

Thanks to the latest technologies such as broadband Internet, most people have a constant connection to the Internet. Not only do they have Internet access from home, but they can take their connections with them using a wireless connection. If they want to make a purchase online, from home or on the road, the transaction can be completed instantly using a credit card.

The Internet is also a great communication tool for consumers. A prospect can contact a business by email or online form by simply visiting a website and sending an email message. Consumers are also able to get their problems resolved and questions answered online, without the need for human intervention.

Because the Internet plays such an important role in our lives today, every business should be taking advantage of online marketing. Businesses that do not invest in this form of marketing may be missing out on a large majority of potential business. Without online marketing, a company cannot be found by prospects who may be interested in their products or services. If a business cannot be found online, they cannot do business with new customers or prospects within the digital space.

The notion that local businesses do not need to invest in Internet marketing is a common misconception. The fact is consumers are finding businesses and buying products and services online everyday. Whether someone wants to order a pizza or visit a spa in their town, the Internet is usually their first point of contact. Thus, companies large and small must invest in web marketing to remain competitive in this digital age. Building a website and in web marketing is a good place to begin.

Web marketing is relatively less expensive than traditional marketing. Whether you invest in search engine optimization, keyword advertising, article marketing or other proven methods, you will find this type of marketing more cost effective.

If you do not have web marketing or search engine marketing experience, it is a good idea to hire professionals. They will be able to help you determine the best online marketing methods for your business. Professional web marketers can also assist with implementation of your marketing campaigns, and help you track results.

An Idea to Reduce Your SEO Financing Risk

by David Kalin on March 11, 2010

Anyone who’s ever tried building an online business is well aware of the risks associated with the marketing of their site. No matter how much time or money you put into it you can never be certain that your profits will really increase. The only thing you can truly count on is that it’s going to cost money, whether it’s for search engine optimization services or pay per click campaigns or any other type of meaningful advertising. SEO companies typically charge a monthly fee for their services and these fees can range from many hundreds to even thousands of dollars and you’ll be having to shell out this money from day 1, long before you will see any benefit. Here then is a thought you might like to ponder, an idea of sorts that that might help you to obtain the services of an seo expert without having to risk too much (or any) of your money in the beginning stages.

I’m speaking of using a partnership percentage or commission based pay option as compensation for your SEO specialist instead of cash upfront. What this means is that the SEO specialist would agree to take on your project and be paid a commission or revenue percentage of what your website makes in sales revenue. This can be set up in many different ways and might be based upon either total sales or only profits. When you would have to begin paying the commissions is another aspect that can be negotiated, but having some predetermined SEO related goal or event that triggers the payments might be a good idea.

With this scenario it is going to typically be the SEO expert who has the most to lose (in most but not all cases) so it’s the client who will probably be the one having to do the convincing. Don’t sell yourself short too quickly however. If you have a great product and your website is very well designed (or already has some sales coming in) there’s a good chance you might find someone willing to team up with you as long as the reward will be worth the risk (you’ll have to consider giving up a good percentage so it’s worth someone’s time and risk, naturally).

But where would you begin looking, and who would you be looking for? Well to start with you should probably be seeking out an SEO company or specialist who doesn’t have alot of people knocking at their door. This isn’t always a bad sign as one might initially think. In the poor U.S. economy of late there are plenty of SEO Companies who’s business has slowed and may consider taking on your project. If that doesn’t work out there’s always plenty of new comers into the search engine optimization field or less experienced workers who may be having a difficult time finding work right now. Just because they’re new or less experienced than a true expert doesn’t mean they can’t help you attain good results, and if for some reason they end up doing a poor job at least it won’t end up costing you anything.

While finding someone to team up with in this way isn’t so easy, it’s SAFE! You will have to decide for yourself whether it’s worth it or not to give up a chunk of your revenue (or potential revenue) in return for no out of pocket SEO costs. For many website owners this is a very good solution to a difficult problem, and for certain SEO specialists who are offered a percentage of a good product and web business it can turn out equally as well (if not better in some cases). At the very least I think it’s a concept worthy of strong consideration.

Advertising, Applying Free Article Marketing Techniques

by Brian Tubbs on March 11, 2010

A low cost form of business promotion, free article marketing has proved very efficient for lots of businesses. Its first applications can be found in printed press where it was a common practice for companies to publish materials related to their business in order to attract more customers. No commission was charged for the publication, and the company gained from the free publicity as the client was referred to the business website or local address. This practice is still in use, and it has led to the accelerated development of free article marketing.

While in some cases, article marketing strategies do require a minor investment, in others, web developers manage to keep the entire process free. And I’ll tell you how this is possible.

The most advantageous situation for beginning investors is when they have the skills and the time to author their materials. This saves them the costs of outsourcing.

Another investment issue is related to the submission of articles to article directories. Some services like enzinearticles.com are free.

Free article marketing grows in importance and efficiency progressively, and results usually become obvious within a few months of intense activity and article production. Make sure you provide quality content, or else your efforts are in vain.

The practical advice you find online may help you free article marketing strategies. The more you know about this domain, the higher your chances of success. Self-education should become a priority, meaning that you have to be informed on the trends that constantly appear on the Internet and thus have the flexibility and the chance to adapt your business to the market variables.

Even if you work on a very tight budget in the early stage of the business, as the activity becomes profitable, you will need to see what can be improved in free article marketing. There is no company without expenses, therefore, costs may appear any time during business evolution. Therefore, don’t get over-excited because you use ‘free’ article marketing, as it requires a lot of time, energy and competence that you have to put into your activities in order to enjoy savings.

If you really make profit thanks to the page ranking and traffic increase triggered by free article marketing, you’ll certainly want to take the process to a superior level. Investment will thus become inevitable and a necessary measure for sticking to positive business evolution. This is the moment to make the switch from the amateurish to the professional business state of facts. I hope you’ll achieve all of your goals!

Translating Web Sites Is Easy With Google Chrome

by Julie Johnson on March 11, 2010

The web has provided many new challenges to businesses. Doing business globally can be a great way to expand your business especially in slow economic times. After all, while one country is down another one is probably up.

Surely doing business worldwide is to everyone’s advantage but it presents the challenges of different languages and dialects and let’s face it most people speak one or maybe two languages fluently but this probably won’t encompass everywhere you would like to do business. It is for this reason that online translation services are sure wonderful business tools. They come in very handy when trying to make sense out of an e-mail sent by a foreign customer or when trying to understand a website that is written in a foreign tongue.

Up until now you could access free translation services from Bing, Yahoo or Google, but they required that you cut and paste the text into a translation box which can not only be a hassle but many times only offers a very loose translation of the other language, leaving much room for interpretation.

Now Google is offering a much better and more accurate solution to cutting and pasting text into a translation site. This latest tool is called Google Chrome beta for Windows and with this tool, whenever you bring up a web page that is not being displayed in your default language, Chrome will ask if you would like the page translated. With one click on the Translate button you will very simply view the entire web page in your default language.

And while Chrome is definitely simpler to use for translating web content, it even has been proven to be a more accurate translation than that which is provided by Bing or Babelfish about 80% of the time. This means better communication with business customers and clients from around the world. There is nothing better for your multinational business than a translation service that is easy to use and translates text of all languages with increased accuracy. Leave it to Google to improve the way that the world does business.

Social Networking Sites – Some Common Misconceptions

by Julie Johnson on March 11, 2010

Online research is one of those things, sometimes you stumble across good solid information and sometimes just plain old gibberish. Well, online today there was an article that had some guy spouting gibberish about how social media sites were about as “helpful to business marketing as a hot pocket is nutritious”.

One web posting in particular makes it a point to attack the use of social media web sites by businesses, but almost every statement in the article is a blatant lie. The posting’s first untrue statement is that it is difficult to use social media sites, so businesses should avoid them. Anyone who has used a social media site knows that it is not difficult at all to use, if you have not used a social media site before, you can ask any of the many millions of other users of these sites if they think it is difficult. If you can navigate the web, and log-on to your e-mail, then you have the necessary skills to master a social media web site.

There are also claims on the internet that the use of social networking sites by business can be costly for these businesses. Again, these claims are very far from the truth. Social networking sites are free to use by anyone or any business, so in that regard there is no cost for advertising on a social networking site. In terms of the cost of the time it takes to maintain these social networking sites, any advertising or marketing strategy is going to cost you time. If you invest anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes a day, to maintain a social networking site for your business, and that is the only expense your business will incur for this advertising, it seems it would be worth to reach the large audience that social networks provide.

Finally he states that there are no perspective customers to be found on My Space or Facebook or on Twitter for that matter, because in his opinion there are only goofy teenagers and nostalgic older folks looking to reconnect with lost loves on these sites. It is due to the fact that there are just a bunch of idiots roaming these sites that they aren’t going to stop and learn about your business. Well, guess again. Many people who use the internet for communication are actually also some of the most intelligent and there are many companies and organizations using these tools to advertise and getting good results.

Perhaps the clown that wrote this initial article is running an advertising company and doesn’t want you to use the tools that are free and readily available to you. Look at it this way, even if this guy was right, could it really harm your business to give social media websites a try for promoting your business. Truly you will find this is a very effective way to draw attention to your business and don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Why Does An SEO Company Cost So Much?

by David Kalin on March 10, 2010

Over the years I’ve been asked many times over, “why is it that SEO Companies charge so much for their services?”. Truth be told I think if I had a hundred dollars every time I’ve been asked this question I’d probably be making more money (at least in net profit) than an SEO Company. If you shop around the internet, pricing out for SEO marketing services can be a bit confusing as prices tend to have a rather wide disparity. For instance, you might find one company charging $1,500 per month while another charges only $650 per month. Then there are those who claim to charge much less at under $400.

The sad fact is you get what you pay for here. The reasoning behind the high fees for these service stems from the fact that an honest and above board SEO specialist is going to have to put in a tremendous amount of labor hours if he’s going to really help your site move up the ranks in the search engines. Everything that you will need to be done from website page edits to link building is done mostly by hand and can be an extremely time consuming process for the person or company that’s doing it for you. Anyone who’s ever tried link building on their own can attest to this, and it stands to reason why so many good seo experts will charge an average of $800-$1,000 per month and even much more depending upon certain details such as time constraints which you may require and also how competitive your key phrases might be as well.

If they spend only 10 hours per week working with your website how much do you think they should charge? At only $10 per hour that’s still $400 per month not counting any additional expenses you might incur such as any link “buying” you might want them to do for you, or Pay Per Click campaign management which is yet another aspect of SEO marketing services. Now if you throw in an employee or two you can easily see how even a very tiny company can be forced to charge at least double this price if not more. This is all taking into consideration that you’re dealing with a reputable person or company who’s doing the work for you. Finding someone who is both honest AND good at what they do is a challenge in itself which I will save for another article on another day for now.

Since the amount of time and labor being spent on your project each week (or each month) is such a major factor in determining your short term costs it stands to reason that you should probably be wanting to discuss this factor with your chosen SEO company or specialist. When looking around for a new service take notice if they are willing and open to discuss the matter with you or not. Asking for monthly updates that clearly show their progress and time spent is also a smart idea. You can’t expect too much progress in too short a time period as these things take time but you should still be updated and have the information provided to you nonetheless.

Obviously an SEO expert who can achieve your goals has a perfect right to expect to be well compensated for his services and certainly deserves it as long as he can deliver on your expectations. Seeing prices of $800-$1200 per month should be seen as perfectly reasonable as long as the cost doesn’t outweigh the benefit, which of course depends upon just how much your sales might increase for being on the first page of Google for a particular key phrase. But it’s not an SEO’s job to predict your return on investment. His real job is to get you improved search engine rankings and more traffic to your site. These are all factors that need to be considered between you and your SEO service and the most important point to remember here is that you should be looking for someone who is willing to take the time to openly discuss them with you.

General SEO Techniques Applied In Marketing

by Zachary Alderson on March 10, 2010

Visibility and marketing is the most important aspect of survival in the World Wide Web wars. SEO – search engine optimization is still a invaluable tool that is implement in most web master’s strategy. It is pretty much, the next biggest thing to the gold rush of California.

SEO is a form of Internet marketing technique that is used to include certain keywords that are indexed amongst the search engine. When someone searches for a word in a search engine, the keywords and results are picked from an array list that is indexed. It is dependent on the websites traffic results and popularity and the keyword selects the addresses from the elite chosen.

Black hat techniques involve a range of unethical or cheating the system methods that yields result but has little to do with the relevancy of the search. Black techniques involve the stuffing of keywords and building link farms and what not to direct traffic. Some people and search engines look down on the form of spamming that messes with the algorithm of engines.

White hat techniques will follow guidelines and try to make a reputation that is looked well upon. The white techniques attempt to provide the users in what they are looking for; as well as the relevancy. In other words, the white attempts not to waste the time and space of search engines and users.

If techniques are used to improve rankings but not follow the guidelines, popular search engines will penalize or ban the creators. To sum up the idea of false advertisements and illegal techniques in SEO, it could be compared to a bunch of stores that you may see that has a sign that implies there is free money upon entry. After walking in, you realize that the place has nothing to do with money and even if they did, there is none.

Get the permission of websites to use their site and place a relevant link that leads to where it implies. Many websites will allow it if you identify its purpose or provide related content that is of value. If a person gains a bad reputation, an entrepreneur may find difficulty in the venture to advertise.

Article spinning is a form of plagiarism that promotes duplicated content from other websites. This is looked down upon and is not acceptable. Original articles and content must be provided and will yield the respect and traffic you deserve.

Meta tagging is a way to tag websites or content that allows the user to understand its relevancy. Meta tagging the relevant content and text is appropriate but there are some who will include irrelevancy just to bring in traffic. This degrades the value of search engines and websites. Particularly, no one wants to look for something and find that they cannot find what they are searching for because of the stuffing of keywords.

SEO – search engine optimization should be followed accordingly to the guidelines set for by the regulators of the Internet. Black hat are considered to be worthless and white hat retains the positive reputation that the people worked so hard for.

If you are an Internet entrepreneur, you need to invest time in learning the ins and outs of SEO methods including SEO software. We’ve got the ultimate inside info now on http://www.seoequalizer.com

5 Webmasters Tips to Help you Improve your Google AdSense Earnings

by Jon Moreno on March 9, 2010

Know anything about Google AdSense? If you have an online business, for sure you do. They are advertisement units that you can place within your site and earn revenue when online visitors click on them. However, they are not advertisements of your own site, but of other companies related to your products or services.

Now, in order to be successful in using Google AdSense, you must know these webmasters tips. Although placing the ads and waiting for online visitors to click on them already enables you to earn a small percentage, it would still be better if you follow these five simple tips to boost your Google AdSense earnings.

1. Select from these ad formats: the 336 x 280 rectangle, the 300 x 250 rectangle and the 160 x 600 sky scraper. These three provide the best results as far as click-throughs are concerned, according to Google.

2. Create a custom palette for your Google ads. How to do this? Make sure to choose a color that blends well with your site’s background. That way, your ads will look as if they are really part of your web pages.

3. Position your ads where online visitors can see them at once. You can place them at the sidebars, at the bottom of each article, or under the header.

4. Make use of multiple ad units. Google does not restrict any website user to use only one ad per site. You can always use more than one, at least up to three.

5. Update your content regularly. This is the most effective way that you can do to increase traffic. Take note: the more online visitors your site has, the more clicks you can get to improve your earnings.
